Writing with AI is way too easy.
In 2057, the first public quantum station elevator appeared in Vilnius. It wasn’t built just to move people up and down — it shifted them between layers of reality. On the station wall, a simple sign read: “Choose direction. The system will calculate your fate.”
The first passenger — a student named Lukas — stepped in, hoping to get to his university. The doors closed, and on the panel the word “space distortion, alternative” lit up.
Moments later, he stepped out… Still in Vilnius, but this time drones floated through the streets instead of cars, and a massive holographic Vytis hovered above the Town Hall.
His phone buzzed in his pocket. A message on the screen read:
“Welcome to the version where you never skipped a single lecture. Would you like to stay and look around?”
Lukas muttered under his breath: “Maybe there’s a reality where I’ve got a diploma and decent coffee?”
“Maybe —” an oddly robotic voice whispered from the elevator’s cabin.
